So I have been looking for a cheap reliable truck and came across a 1990 F250 with a straight 6, 5-spd manual and 104K on the clock for $1800. Definitely worth a look. I text the guy and ask him a few more questions about the truck and he responds within 10min...I'm still interested...and ask if he has time the next morning for me to come take a look at it. He agrees and says to call at 7:30 the next morning and he'd give me an address...hmm okay, not sure why he wouldn't give it to me then but maybe he's just being overly careful.

I ask my dad to come with, so he is at my house at 7:30am the next morning (which is a half hour away) I call the guy at 7:30...no answer. Call again at 7:35...no answer. Text him...nothing. Call at 7:45...no answer. My dad and I decide to go get breakfast and see if he will call. I continue calling every 15 min at this point 8am...nothing...8:15...nothing...finally a last attempt at 8:30...no answer. I have yet to hear from this guy...no idea what's going on...apparently he didn't want to sell his truck.

Things like this just piss me off. He wasted my dad's and my time and has yet to call and apologize or at least explain what the hell happened. This is fortunately my first disappointing experience with craigslist...I know some people have had worse.

Thanks for reading...I just wanted to vent a bit. It's frustrating seeing something you want then not being able to even take a look at it and wasting time because of inconsiderate people

People want to sell you their shit, but can't really be bothered to do anything about it.

That's SOP for most CL sellers. I called a lady about and old legacy that she said she needed to sell quick. Called her and told her if call her again in an hour to come look at it. She never answered...

Someone else likely bought it already, or he slept late. Welcome to craigslist! I've had a lot of bad experiences. Probably the worst was calling about a car, and after 5 mins I told the guy I can come right now to look at it but it would take 2 hrs for me to get there. After driving 2 hrs there was no answer when I rang the doorbell. Called him, again no answer. Waited around for a while....maybe he went to get lunch and will be back any minute? Finally he comes out and says sorry someone was looking at the car when you called the first time, and bought it after we hung up. I was so pissed! Had I known that I wouldn't have drove 2hrs one way. He could of called me back, and saved me 3.5hrs of time and gas!!!!
